Description: NICE was founded on the 4th Feb. in 1990 by 7 youth who had participated in workcamps abroad. In Sep. 90, the first international workcamp in Japan was held at the foot of the Mt. Fuji. It has been developing rapidly and variously with huge needs of projects & motivations of people. Organized together with Vision Youth Action (VYA) since 2007. VYA and NICE started workcamps in Taiwan together in 2007-08 and from 2009, VYA does everything by themselves as planned. But because of the history of Taishi workcamp, VYA still kindly invites NICE to co-organize it. Taishi Artist Association was established in 99 and activate the town by various artistic activities such as running life museum and local sea food restaurant, eco-tourism for city people, shell and oyster arts, etc.
Work: We will construct a corner park for community with local material. We may create a public space for community through the gcoloring project.h which subject is hdomestic legend storiesh so that community people can learn different cultures via your countyfs legend stories
Location: A small fishing village in Yun-Lin County
