Events assistant (trainee)
Friends of Europe (FoE), a leading Brussels-based think tank on European Affairs is currently looking for an Events assistant (trainee) for a minimum period of 6 months to assist with the organisation of our high level Policy Summits & ‘Café Crossfire’ debates.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting research on potential speakers and drafting of participants’ database
- Coordination of internal logistics for the event
- Communication with speakers and participants
- Production of events publications
- Supporting the organisation of evening debates, conferences and dinner debates
Desired Profile:
- Fluency in spoken & written English essential
- French and other languages are an asset
- Knowledge of current EU affairs & issues
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent social skills
- Superior computer skills with very good knowledge of Word and Excel
- Proven web skills
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience in organising events is an asset
