The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) is looking for a communication intern for six months to start in November 2009. EWEA is the voice of the wind industry – actively promoting the utilisation of wind power in Europe and worldwide (www.ewea.org ).
Communication Intern– Job description
Full time position, for a person who wants a career in communications,
managed by the Communication Director
Main responsibilities:
- Act as PA to the Communication Director:
- minutes of meetings
- mails
- agenda
- general support
- Administrative support to the communications department (four staff members):
- Database updates / maintain good records
- Manage the communication inbox
- Answer general requests and phone
- Publication library and magazine subscriptions
- Organise meetings
- Organise mailings
- Website updates with Typo3 content management system
Profile:
Required Experience:
You have experience in the tasks listed above and you fulfil the key qualifications.
At least 6 months of experience in a similar position is an absolute minimum requirement.
Required Key Qualifications:
Excellent English, other languages an asset;
Highly organised and an eye for detail;
Fast, resourceful and happy to support a team;
High computer literacy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
Some experience with website update tools and Adobe Photoshop;
Education in communications an advantage.
Assets:
Flexibility, ability to multitask, detail-orientated and positive;
Enthusiastic team player;
Demonstrating ability to solve problems, remain focused, flexible.
EWEA offers 6 months of paid internship from 2 November 2009.
